Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 28, 2026. ChartedSelf is operated by Northpine Labs LLC ("we") and is built on data minimalism. This page describes exactly what we process and why.
Birth data
Your birth date, time, and place are sent to our server once per computation to calculate your chart, processed transiently, and returned to your browser. They are stored in your browser's localStorage — not in a server database. We keep no account of you and no profile.
If you buy a reading
When you purchase, your chart data and the generated reading are stored under a random, unguessable identifier so your report link keeps working. This record contains no name and no email. Card payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor — your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers, and Stripe processes them under its own privacy policy. From Stripe we receive only order metadata (order ID, and the email address you gave at checkout, used to send you your reading link).
If you choose to save your chart by email, your address is stored by us and passed to our email service provider with your explicit consent, and every message includes an unsubscribe link. We use your email to deliver your reading link and, if you opted in, a short educational series once that series exists — it is not sending yet. We do not sell or share it. Ask us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
What we don't do
- No advertising pixels, no remarketing audiences, no cross-site tracking.
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
- No server-side database of birth data or user profiles.
Analytics & advertising
We measure aggregate page statistics (page loads, charts computed, purchases) with PostHog, our analytics provider, without building individual profiles or recording your session. Your birth details are never sent to it.
When we run search ads, pages also load Google's advertising tag, which sets cookies and reports a completed purchase so we can tell which ads paid for themselves. It receives the order value and an anonymous order id — never your name, email, or birth data. You can opt out of personalised Google advertising at adssettings.google.com.
Retention & deletion
Purchased readings are retained so your link keeps working, and are deleted 90 days after they were last updated, unless you ask us to remove them sooner. Use the "Save as PDF" button on your reading if you want a permanent copy. To delete anything associated with your order sooner, email [email protected] with your order ID.
